Consulting for Silverlight, ASP.NET AJAX and Others
Change
There’s a revolution going on in the web. And we’re in the middle of it. We’re turning classic web applications into true local applications. We’re pushing logic from the server down to user computers, and they’re loving it. And why wouldn’t they? They get the benefits of web connectivity along with the benefits of snappy application behavior. The best of both worlds.
What we do
We’re experts at using Rich Internet Application (RIA) technologies to make amazing web clients. We have our favorite tools (Silverlight 2, ASP.NET AJAX), and we have a mission: To bring data closer to the user. Here’s what we do:
For the client that already has a web application, we have an assortment of techniques to enhance that application for client based processing. Often, there doesn’t even have to be substantial changes to the application’s codebase. Indeed, by using ASP.NET AJAX (often our weapon of choice in these situations) we are able to gracefully upgrade and downgrade (should Javascript not be enabled) existing sites.
But for the client that is planning a new application, there is a unique opportunity to write a highly interactive application using the newest technologies. In these cases, we’ll often suggest Silverlight 2. It’s a great platform for sharing processing between clients and servers, and it’s usually just the ticket for writing complex clients that users will visit again and again.
Philosophy
If you’d like to get to know how we think about problems, take a listen to our podcast. It’s a Silverlight focused show where we talk about how to create amazing web clients. It will give you a sense of our enthusiasm for this kind of development, and it’s also a great source for free advice.
